I am a Cute, Affectionate and Playful Pup! Hello, my name is Simon. I am a very Adorable, 6-Month-Old Labrador Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix. I am a Super Sweet puppy who currently weighs 48 pounds. I Love People and Dogs. I am very Affectionate and Lots of Fun! Please keep reading to find out what my Foster Mom has to say about me!! My Background! I was transferred from another Animal Rescue in Alabama. I was very scared and had a minor injury, so I was sent into a very loving Foster Home. I went into foster care on January 25th, and I have been getting more confident every day. I also went to the vet where I had to get two teeth pulled. Don’t worry – I am alright now. My Personality! As I mentioned, I am getting more confident every day. I am a Dependent Doggie who looks to my Foster Mom and her Doggies for guidance. I am Super Sweet as I Follow my Foster Mom everywhere she goes. When she sits down, I Curl Up at her Feet. When she Pets Me, I slowly Roll on My Back for a Belly Rub! I also Greet My Mom with a Big Smile and Tail Wag – I LOVE her so much! I am a FUN Doggie! I am just learning how to be a puppy – I know that is sad! My Foster Mom has provided me with lots of toys. My favorite toy is a Stuffed Bone with a Squeaker in it. I just Gently Mouth It and Carry It Around – I am a Gentle Pup! I will Chase the Toy when it is thrown, but I haven’t learned to bring it back yet. I will in time!! Training Update! My foster mom helped Crate Train me, and she said I am Housetrained (but I do need to go out frequently as I am a pup). My foster mom has already taught me the Sit command and I do Come when I am called. I also respond very well to Voice Commands, I am People Focused, and Toy/Food Motivated. All key traits to have to do well in Positive Dog Training Classes. I actually LOVE to Learn – won’t you teach me some more commands and/or tricks? I am a Good Boy in the House! I am a Calm Puppy as long as I get some Exercise/Play Time every day. The only bad thing I have done so far was I took one of my Foster Mom’s shoes. Don’t worry. I just carried it around – I did not chew it. Actually my favorite thing to do in the house is Curl Up at my Foster Mom’s feet. I lay next to the other two dogs in the house. We are quite cute together!! I LOVE Other Doggies! My Foster Mom has two Golden Retrievers. I think they are my Big Sisters as I am Learning How to be a Dog from them. They have taught me how to go Outside and Potty. We go out a lot, and I have not had one accident in the house (pretty good don’t you think!). I am also learning House Manners from my sisters, and I enjoy Running/Chasing them in the yard. We have so much fun together!! I am Learning about Cats! My Foster Mom has two cats. I am very curious about them. I chased them a few times, but when the cats got to a safe place I decided to leave them alone. My Foster Mom and her Dogs are much more interesting than the cats. I should be fine with Cats as long as you slowly introduce me to them. Are You the Right Family for ME? I am looking for a very Loving Family who will provide me with Lots of Love, Patience and of course Training. I Love Everyone, but will do best with Adults and/or Children over the age of 5. My Foster Mom says I do not like Loud Noises or Unpredictable Movement. So, children 5 & Up who are Gentle and Respectful should be fine. I get along well with Nice Doggies and should be fine with Cats. Note: I need to meet children and/or any dog in your home before adoption. I am a Healthy Pup! I am a very Healthy Pup who weighs 48 pounds now, and will grow to be approximately 55-60 pounds when I am an adult. I am up to date on my vaccinations, heartworm screened, microchipped and already neutered. I also just recently had two teeth removed due to a small injury. Don’t worry, I am fine.
