Hi there! My name is Lila and I'm a 3 year old black Miniature Long Haired Doxy. I am very quiet and I don't bother you at all. You hardly know I am around unless I can’t find my friend, Redmond. I am no trouble at all but I do need some work on my house training.. My friend, Redmond, (also on Petfinder), and I have always been together and would be happier if we went home together, that would be the perfect ending to a sad story! You see, I was in puppy mill and you probably know what an awful place they can be. It was pretty hard, but we are hoping for a happy ending! The adoption fee of $225 includes current vaccines and sterilization. I will try to be at the Utica PETsMART Adoption center on Hall Road, east of Van Dyke, the 1st , 3rd and 4th Saturday of the month (except some holiday weekends), 11-3 p.m. Email or call if you are making a special trip and we'll try to make sure I'm at the store that you'll be at! Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, NOT on a first come, first serve basis.
********************************************************************************** We show some of our adoptable dogs at PetSmart, Utica, each Saturday between the hours of 11:00am and 3:00pm. Cats typically don't do well at events, so they only attend with a pre-approved meet and greet appointment. If you are interested in a particular pet, we suggest you email: mmarpaws@gmail.com to see if that pet will be there.
Applications are approved on the basis of the best and most appropriate home for the animal, not on a first come, first served basis. On site adoption available to pre-approved applicants only.
Adoption fees go towards vaccines, heartworm prevention/testing, flea/tick prevention, spay/neuter and other medical problems that may arise.
MMAR is an all volunteer, foster based, 501 (c) 3, non profit organization. Without your donation, wonderful pets like these have to be passed by because we cannot afford their care.
